From transport to software: what lies behind The AI Web Factory
Tarraco App Lab is a company from Tarragona with nine products in production. What each one does, why they exist and what that has to do with your website.
When you hire someone to build a website you want to know who is behind it. That is reasonable. The answer from most agencies is an “About us” page with a stock photo of people in a meeting.
We would rather tell you the other thing: what we build, for whom and since when.
A company from Tarragona that comes from transport
Tarraco App Lab is a company based in Tarragona. What makes it unusual in the sector is the order in which things arrived: first the knowledge of road transport and logistics, then the software.
That sequence explains almost everything that came afterwards. The person who founded the company had spent years as an expert witness on accidents, reading tachograph discs and walking around workshops. When he started programming, he did not look for a market gap in a spreadsheet: he already knew what his own profession was missing.
The first product, Driver Solution, was born from that.
The products, one by one
All of them are published and in use. None of them is a mock-up.
Driver Solution is the platform for road transport. Tachograph, legal and employment advice, appealing fines, legal documents, key fleet deadlines, expense receipts and invoices, payslips. It is aimed at drivers and small fleets, who are the ones without a legal department behind them.
Gest Peritia is the tool for court-appointed expert witnesses in any field. It manages case files, deadlines, advance payments and fees, generates expert documents from templates and guides the drafting of the report with a structured process. The person who designed it is a practising expert witness. It shows in details that would never occur to someone who has never asked a court for an advance on fees.
GestCampus is online training with full traceability: learning evidence and regulatory compliance for SEPE (the Spanish public employment service) and FUNDAE (the Spanish foundation that manages subsidised workplace training). It is designed for those who have to prove the training they have delivered, not just deliver it.
My AI Council puts up to three artificial intelligences in the same conversation (GPT, Gemini and Qwen) so you can compare their answers side by side. It is open and free.
Perito Camión is the expert witness’s personal brand: cars, transport, logistics and prevention of workplace accidents.
Carretera Nacional is an employment information portal for the sector: collective agreements, working hours, pay, prevention, penalties and tachographs, for both goods and passenger transport. It does not sell anything.
Contenedor de Links is
a free link page. You put your social profiles, your website and your
phone number at a single address like links.tarracoapplab.com/yourname,
with no coding, in three languages and with no ads. It is for anyone who
lives on Instagram or TikTok and needs somewhere to send people.
Oriana Mail is a free desktop email client for Windows, with multiple accounts, templates and HTML signatures. It runs entirely on your computer: your email never goes through any server of ours.
And The AI Web Factory, which is where you are reading this, builds bespoke websites with artificial intelligence, published and maintained, with domain and email included.
Why this matters to you, when all you wanted was a website
For three specific reasons.
The first is that we use what we sell. The techniques we apply to your website are the same ones we use to keep seven of our own products in production. When this blog says that a badly loaded font costs nine points on the score, it is because it happened here and we fixed it here.
The second is that we have to live with our mistakes. An agency delivers a website and walks away. We keep opening the ones we built for ourselves every single day. That changes the decisions you make: nobody knowingly piles up technical debt in their own home.
The third is the underlying craft. Working for expert witnesses and hauliers forces you to understand deadlines, regulations and documents that end up in front of a judge. That is where our obsession with legal pages, traceability and never claiming anything that cannot be checked comes from. That obsession ends up in your website, even if you sell flowers.
What we are not
We are not a big company. We do not have offices in four cities. If you write to us, the reply comes from someone who has worked on the code.
And we do not do everything. If what you need is a shop with ten thousand products and an integration with your ERP, there are people who do that better than we do. We will tell you so.
Where the name comes from
Tarraco is the Roman name for Tarragona. The company is here, works mostly with people from here and has no intention of hiding it behind an English name that could be from anywhere.
Even though we later gave the web factory an English name. Nobody is perfect.
